UAW members win smoking ban in Atlantic City casinos
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – With more than 200 UAW members in attendance urging prompt action, the City Council of Atlantic City voted unanimously on Wednesday, April 9 to ban all smoking on the city’s casino floors.
Attorney General says state can ban smoking in Indian Casinos
HARTFORD, Conn.(Boston Globe, AP) — Attorney General Richard Blumenthal says in a legal opinion that the state can expand its smoking ban to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos.
"People that I work with, and myself, have developed respiratory illness. Ive developed asthma since I worked there," said Denise Gladue, a dealer at Foxwoods.
